Moving Average Price changes are not considered for Idoc generation based on the change pointers.
Issue: The changes in field like Moving Average Price (MBEW-VERPR) are not getting captured in change pointer tables whenever Goods Receipt is posted, or an Invoice is posted even though change pointers in activated in the system. • The changes in field like Moving Average Price (MBEW-VERPR) are not display in MM04 whenever Goods Receipt is posted, or an Invoice is posted even though change pointers in activated in the system.
Root Cause:
- Material stock and valuation tables such as MBEW, MARD, MCHB do not log “change documents” in material master, when the changes are performed by goods movements (MIGO, MB1C etc.) or invoice postings (MIRO).
- Goods movements are not intended to create change documents for MBEW and all the other tables, which are changed by a material document. • The material document itself is already the documentation of the change, goods movements and Invoices are documented from material documents which is visible with MB03 (list with MB51) or MIR4.
- Only changes that did not write a material document need an additional change document, such as MR21, MM02, MM42 etc.
- This design decision is to avoid performance issues during posting of stock movements.
Solution: This is standard SAP behavior as per the SAP Note – 1871430
