Difference between MobGUI and ITSmobile in SAP S/4 HANA EWM

ITSmobile (Internet Transaction Server mobile) is a SAP technology that connects mobile devices (like handheld scanners or tablets) to a SAP system, allowing them to run applications based on the standard ABAP Dynpro programming model. It is heavily used in SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) and ECC to convert traditional SAP screens into HTML templates, enabling warehouse workers to perform real-time data entry, barcode scanning, and inventory tracking directly from the warehouse floor.

MobGUI is a newer mobile application interface and ITSmobile service designed specifically for SAP EWM. It essentially modernizes the older RF (Radio Frequency) framework by bringing a modern, SAP Fiori-like “look and feel” to the mobile environment. While older RFUI technology could be rigid, MobGUI offers a much more intuitive, user-friendly, and web-compatible experience that can be easily customized visually using SAP Screen Personas without needing complex backend development
