Stock Transport Order Outbound Delivery Picking Date must be prior to the STO Delivery Date

Business Requirement: STO Outbound Delivery Picking/Planned GI date should be prior to the STO Delivery Date. So that, supplying plant can pick the goods and deliver to the Receiving plant as per the schedule.

Solution: As per the normal standard configuration, STO delivery date will be copied to Outbound Delivery picking date, planned GI date etc. If the business has concerns for having same date as picking date at Supplying Plant and receiving date at Receiving plant, below solution needs to be followed to have different dates.

Assumptions: I have not provided all the configuration related to STO process which was explained in other blogs. In this document, I focused on the main business requirement with the assumption that complete STO setup is available in the system which is working fine already.

Configuration Steps: There are two mandatory configurations to fulfil the business requirement.

  1. Tcode 0VLK and set “Rescheduling” as ‘X’ for delivery type involved on the flow (NLCC for example).

SPRO – IMG Reference ->Logistics Execution -> Shipping -> Deliveries -> Define Delivery Types

  • Tcode OVLY, SD scheduling is not active, DlvSchelg and TranspSchd need to be ‘X’, for order type DL.

SPRO – IMG Reference -> Logistics Execution -> Shipping -> Basic Shipping Functions -> Scheduling -> Delivery Scheduling and Transportation Scheduling -> Define Scheduling By Sales Document Type.

Master Data: Ensure the Material Master is maintained as per the requirement. You can use MM02 transaction code to change the material master.

STO Delivery Date will be calculated as per the Planned Delivery Time in Days mentioned in the Material Master MRP 2 View for the Receiving Plant.

Testing Steps:

  1. Create STO with item category U – ME21N
  2. Create Outbound Delivery – VL10B
