Error: Outbound Idoc is stuck in SM58 although the status of the Idoc is 03.
Function module does not exist, or EXCEPTION raised
Message No. SY359
Solution: MATMAS outbound Idoc is sent from SAP which has status 03. But the material master data is not reached to middleware. Based on the analysis, the reason is the below setting was done wrongly in SM59 by a basis team.
Go to SM59 and follow the steps below and ensure the option is selected as Unicode and then trigger new Idoc which will go without any issue log in SM58.
Once you go to SM59, you will see the screen below.
Once you expand ABAP connections, you will get multiple systems. You choose the system like Quality or Production etc. where you are getting the issue. Double clicks on the same. In the below example, I have given as GP Test Client.
Once you double click on click on Change icon, the system will show the screen below. You need to change to non-Unicode to resolve the issue.
